A Picnic on a Real Barrier Island
A great adventure for the whole family (even the furry members): a picnic on a real barrier island! Plenty of room to play fetch, and amazing views. These pictures were taken on Mosquito Island.

Ospreys and Eagles
The Rappahannock River and its tributaries are teeming with Eagles and, from early Spring through early Fall, an active population of migratory Osprey. Osprey nest on "Osprey Poles", built by waterfront homeowners, and fixed navigational aids. They feed from the waters we cruise. Contact is frequent and quite close. Eagle numbers, while not as high as Osprey, are growing year by year.

Dolphins
The attached dolphin photos were taken from our boat in Carters Creek on a Sunday afternoon. Approximately two dozen Atlantic bottlenose dolphin had followed baitfish into Carters Creek and were feeding in the shallow waters. Upon the turn of the tide, they began their retreat to Chesapeake Bay. They did what what dolphin do and played with our boat and passengers for over an hour.
